jo ann & jim true love | reno/tahoe, nevada lifestyle photographer

One of the greatest love stories that I know, is that of these two. Two of my absolute very favorite people. My mom and dad. They taught me about love, what it looks like, how it should be. I think one of the greatest things that parents can do for their children, is love each other. My dad LOVES (yes, with all capital letters) LOVES my mom! Whenever we go home, he will often tell me how beautiful she is. It is the sweetest thing ever! Growing up, my brothers and I would giggle and tell mom and dad to get a room if we saw them kissing. But I’m glad they showed love infront of us. Because of them, I know how a husband should love his wife and how a wife should love her husband. I learned about compromise and sacrifice.

My dad loves from the deepest parts of his heart, in every way that he can. His ability to make people laugh is one of my favorite things, I can remember driving around with him when I was little and he would make up silly songs for me. I can’t tell you how much I love him! My first love.

My mom is my best friend. She has the sweetest heart, she is beautiful, and loves with everything she has. She is giving of herself, and quick to serve. She is everything I hope to be as a wife and a mother. I have, {one}, sweet beautiful mom.

Mom and dad, you are two of my favorite people. Thank you for showing me how good life is. Thank you for teaching me about our Savior, for being the best example of what love looks like. Thank you for loving me, and allowing me the extraordinary honor of capturing your love.

This is love.

Sweet love.

My parents’ wedding rings were hand made by one of my dad’s childhood best friends. It is a dove flying.

Most of the pictures where they are together, are not posed, it’s just them- loving each other. Like the image below, where she is touching his face, and then she kisses his cheek – that is natural, just loving on the love of her life.

  • Jessica Magee - I love this. And I love them. They were always mushy in front of us! I always remembered longing for the day my parents would love each other and us the way your parents did. And your dad cracked me up all the time. And your mom was my surrogate when I needed her to be. I love these images, Aubs … thank you!ReplyCancel
